Paul Courtios in "Un Bon Petit Diable"

Paul Courtios plays a bubbly Charles in this 1800s era film from France. Tackling a controversial subject, this movie takes a lighthearted look at spanking while concentrating on the boys resilience and ingenuity in overcoming the hardships of his life. Charles and the other boys in the film get spanked regularly on the bare tush, so a few naked bottoms are shown in several scenes in this movie. This is one brief nude shot of Courtios as his elder cousin yanks back his covers then flips him over to administer his spanking.

Arik Rosen in "The Wooden Gun"

Arik Rosen stars in this "War of the Buttons" type film about two groups of boys who don't like each other, and they are constantly battling with each other.  This time the story takes place in 1950s Tel Aviv, and the war is between two groups of Jewish boys: one group that is native born, and the other that consists of boys who had migrated with their parents to avoid the war and concentration camps in Germany.  Rosen has one partial nude scene when he stands up in the tub to get a towel.

Mahdi Chaouch in "Viva la Muerte"

Fando (Mahdi Chaouch) is a young boy living under Franco's rule in Spain who finds out things he maybe shouldn't have known about his parents in the film "Viva la Muerte".  Director Fernando Arrabal's 1970 surreal classic is full of images of violence, sexuality and political questions that explore guilt, treason and human behavior.  This is an intriguing though interesting film.  The music is extremely strange to say the least, but this film is definitely worth watching.  Chaouch has one partial nude scene when his mother has him stand up in the tub so she can bathe him.

Seung-ho Yu in "Don't Tell Papa"

In the film "Don't Tell Papa" we find a single father who is trying to raise his 8 year old son, Cho-woo.  Working as an entertainer in a nightclub has its drawbacks as the owner's son and Cho-woo (Seung-ho Yu) have difficulty getting along.  Many other interesting characters show up to add to the humor in this slap-stick comedy about single fathers and their children.  Seung-ho Yu does a superb job, and his crying scenes are better than most veteran actors.  In one scene father and son visit a sauna where the boy is intrigued not only by the tattoos on a member of a gang (why doesn't the water wash them off he wonders?), but he is even more impressed with the size of the man's testicles; to whom Cho-woo declares "Your testicles are ripe."

Glenn Kohan in "The Blue Lagoon"

"The Blue Lagoon" is a remake of a film made in 1949, which is itself a remake of the original filmed in 1923.  The story centers around two children, a boy about 11 years old, and a girl who is about 9, who are shipwrecked on an island along with the ship's cook.  The alcoholic cook dies early in the movie from over drinking, and the two kids are left to fend for themselves.  It isn't long before the two children, Richard (Glenn Kohan), and Emmiline (Elva Josephson) have shed their clothes and are running naked around the island.  The first half hour of this film is a beautiful display of childhood innocence and naivety.

Lele Dorazio in "Elvis! Elvis!"

Having named her son after the famous rock-and-roller, a mom has high aspirations for her 8 year old son.  Elvis (Lele Dorazio) just wants to be himself, and his rebelliousness toward her overbearing personality leads to conflict between mother and son.  Dorazio appears nude in two scenes in this film: once prior to a bath after wetting his pants at school (much to the chagrine of his mother), and once when he goes skinny dipping.  "Elvis! Elvis!" is a cute little film that is certainly worth the time.

Andrej Chalimon in "Kolya" and "Greenhouse Effect"

Andrej Chalimon has appeared nude in two separate films.  Once in "Kolya" at the age of 6, and also in "Greenhouse Effect" at the age of 14.  In the first film he plays Kolya, a boy who has been sent to live with his stepfather, a bachelor who has no time for kids.  In the second film he plays Mute, a homeless boy who lives on the streets and showers in a car wash. Both are great films, and the young Andrej Chalimon does a superb job.

James Aubry in "Lord of the Flies" (1963)

"Lord of the Flies" is a movie based on the book by William Golding.  It is about a group of boys who wind up stranded on an island with no adults.  Things seem fine at first, but it isn't long before the boys have degenerated into chaos and murder as they struggle to learn how to survive in a world they don't have the capacity or experience to be able to understand.  James Aubrey stars as Ralph, a seemingly intelligent boy who just doesn't have the aggressive leadership abilities needed in order to be able to direct the other boys into a cohesive unit.  Ont that will work together and help each other survive.  That role is taken on by Jack (Tom Chapin), bitter young man whose philosophy seems to be kill, or be killed.  Soon his attitude has spread to the rest of the boys, who have divided themselves into 2 tribe: hunters, and gatherers.

Although James Aubrey is never seen completely nude in the film "Lord of the Flies", there is a scene about a third way through the movie where he and another boy are shown skinny dipping.  During the whole scene, which lasts less than a minute, both boys are underwater.

Mauro Gravina in "Coure di Mamma" (Mother's Heart)

"Mother's Heart" is a strange little film straight from the heart of Italy.  Italian actress Carla Gravina and her three real life children star in this movie about an alienated woman who joins a radical political group.  The mother wanders through life in a state of oblivion while her children engage in strange games that kill them one by one.  Mauro Gravina who plays the 12 year old Massimo Franti, a twisted boy obsessed with rocket ships, wears an army helmet almost continuously throughout the movie, even during his nude scenes:  one when he takes a bath with his mother and sister, and another when they are at the beach.
